Alguna allows you to create a flexible configuration of your products and plans used to streamline the sales process and get enterprise customers to sign complex deals.

Discounts

Price reductions or special offers applied to a product or service. Discounts can be based on time-limited promotions calculated in total amounts or percentage rates during the billing process. Alguna support discounts on subscriptions and on specific products.

Currencies

Alguna supports multiple currencies to accommodate customers across various countries and regions. For revenue insights we use the default currencies for your organization.

Customers

Entities that subscribe to your product or service. Each customer is typically associated with a unique profile containing their billing details, usage information, subscription status, preferred payment method and default payment terms.

Customer Portal

A self-service interface where customers can manage their account, view invoices, update payment methods, and modify their subscriptions. The customer portal allows users to access their billing history, check their current usage, and handle other aspects of their subscription without needing to contact support.

Invoices

Detailed bills sent to customers, listing the products or services provided, along with their corresponding prices, discounts, taxes, and total amount due. Invoices are generated periodically or after specific customer actions, like upgrades or renewals.

Payment Transactions

Payment transactions involve capturing funds from the customer, processing through a payment gateway, and recording the details for accounting purposes.

Products / Product Catalog

The specific goods, services, or digital offerings provided by your company. In Alguna, products can be fixed or metered depending on pricing and packaging setup.

Usage Metering

The process of tracking and measuring customer utilization of a product or service to calculate billable amounts. This is used as a basis for pay-as-you-go and consumption-based pricing models.

Plans

Predefined sets of features, services, or usage limits offered at a specific price point. Plans usually cater to different customer needs, often ranging from basic to premium. In Alguna, plans can also be used to create templates for custom quotes for more complex, enterprise use cases.

Self-Serve Checkout

The process by which a customer completes a purchase or subscription. Alguna’s self-serve checkout allows you to sign customers by collecting their payment details, allowing them to select a plan, and processing the subscription purchase.

Subscriptions

In Alguna, subscriptions represent an activated plan with a defined billing schedule where customers pay an agreed fee to use one or more products and/or services. Each product or service can be billed on a differet schedule based on the details defined in the subscriptions. Customers can have one or more subscriptions assigned to them in Alguna.
