Once you’ve configured your accounts and products, you can then start creating quotes for your customers.

Create a Quote

To create a quote, navigate to the relevant customer’s account and click the New Quote button.

Enter the required information, including the contract start date and period. The contract period is the number of months that the contract will run for. If the contract does not have a fixed term then you can choose Monthly Rolling.

Set up any quote terms, such as trial periods, minimum spends or discounts. These terms will apply to the quote as a whole.

Add Products

To add a product to the quote, click the Add Product button. This will open a modal where you can search for products to add to the quote. Select the product(s) you want to add and click Save.

Fixed products

When adding a fixed product you can select the fee that you want to charge, as well as the billing interval within the quote. The billing interval is the frequency that the product will be billed at for a recurring product.

Metered products

You can choose either a unit-based or a tiered pricing model for metered products. If you choose a unit-based model, you can set the price per unit and the billing interval. If you choose a tiered model, you can set the tiers and the price per unit for each tier. Within each tier you can set both a unit price and a fixed price. The fixed price will be charged once the tier has been reached. The unit price will be charged for each unit within the tier.

Custom product terms

In the same way you can apply custom terms to the quote, you can also apply custom terms to individual products. These terms will only apply to the product they are set on. For example, you may want to offer a discount on a specific product for a limited time.

Activating the quote

Once you’ve added all the products you want to the quote, you can activate it. This will create for the customer using your connected contract management platform and template. The contract will be created with the start date and period you specified when creating the quote. The contract will also be created with the products and terms you specified.
