The Alguna Hubspot integration offers seamless synchronization of data between accounts in Hubspot and Alguna.

Pre-requisites

You have have an active Hubspot account and admin rights to connect to Alguna.

We also recommend connecting your Hubspot account in your Sandbox before connecting to production.

Permissions

Alguna automatically sets up technical mechanisms in your Hubspot instance upon connection to enable notifications and benefit from real-time synchronization.

For this, we recommend using a user with a System Administrator profile when connecting your Hubspot instance. Otherwise, the user account used needs to have specific permissions.

Set up Hubspot

Using the email address of the service account you created earlier, grant the following permissions:

In Alguna, please navigate to the Integrations page

Once logged into the correct environment, go to General Settings → Integrations.

Click on the Connect button for the Hubspot integration

On the Integrations Page → Click Connect on Hubspot integration. A modal will pop-up asking you to allow access into your Hubspot instance.

Name integration for your future reference

Once connected, you may name the integration.

Choose syncing option

On the next screen, choose to use Hubspot as a source of creating new accounts in Alguna (this setting only applies to Hubspot → Alguna).

Complete integration

  • On the next screen you can choose to connect all your existing customers. Please consult the Alguna team if you want to do the full migration.
  • This can always be triggered on an ad-hoc basis if you need it in the future by notifying Alguna in our shared Slack channel.

Account Creation

The integration allows you to import customers once they get to a certain deal stage (pre-determined by you, e.g. closed-won).

Usage data and Hubspot ID

As soon as Hubspot account has been created, Alguna uses Hubspot ID as an external ID (alias) so any usage data sent to Alguna with that ID would automatically be assigned to the original account.

Please send a request to support@alguna.io for any disconnections. This is to make sure that we can safely follow the disconnection process without any impact on your existing data.
